Two days ago the clouds were so wonderfully bizarre that I knew I just HAD to go take pictures of them. They looked like little space ships, I have never before seen the clouds look this way. But, I am ticked because I had the camera in the wrong setting and all the images are little. I am curious what this occurrence is known as.
Someone suggested these are known as Lenticular clouds. It seems odd to me because everything I have read about these formations suggests a rugged terrain. In any event, I certainly find them interesting. >>wiki<<
